Thanks for using Design Sage! These terms explain the rules for using our Figma plugin and service. By using Design Sage, you're agreeing to these terms.

1. What Design Sage Does

Design Sage is a Figma plugin that gives you AI-powered feedback on your designs. It checks things like colors, layout, typography, accessibility, and more. You use credits each time you analyze a design.

2. Your Account

Creating an Account

  • You need to be 18 or older to use Design Sage
  • Give us accurate information when signing up
  • You're responsible for everything done with your account

Organizations and Teams

When you sign up, you get a personal organization. You can invite teammates to join (on a paid plan):

  • Owner: Controls everything (billing, members, settings)
  • Member: Uses the plugin and credits

Everyone on your team shares the same pool of credits.

3. Service Access & Pricing

Design Sage operates on a credit-based system where one analysis costs one credit.

Free Tier:

  • All new users receive 10 scans in their first month (5 monthly + 5 welcome bonus)
  • Free tier users receive 5 scans per month ongoing
  • Credits roll over for up to 3 months

Paid Plans

We offer several subscription tiers:

  • Hobbyist: 50 scans/month ($7/month)
  • Professional: 200 scans/month ($24/month)
  • Team: 1,000 scans/month ($79/month)
  • Enterprise: Custom pricing available

Team Credit Sharing

  • Credits are shared across your entire organization
  • No per-seat pricing. Add team members without additional cost
  • All team members access the same credit pool

Changes to Pricing

We may update pricing, credit allocations, or plan features from time to time. If we make material changes that affect your paid subscription, we'll notify you at least 30 days in advance.

Service Availability

While we strive for high availability, Design Sage is provided "as-is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features with or without notice.

Fair Use Policy

To ensure quality service for everyone, please:

  • Use the service for legitimate design feedback and analysis
  • Don't abuse the system with excessive automated requests or bot activity
  • Respect the credit limits of your plan
  • Report bugs and issues you find

We reserve the right to limit or suspend access if we detect abuse, automated scraping, or violations of these terms.

4. What You Can (and Can't) Do

You CAN:

  • Analyze your designs
  • Share access with your team
  • Cancel or change your plan anytime

You CAN'T:

  • Share your account with people outside your organization
  • Try to hack or reverse engineer the plugin
  • Use it for anything illegal
  • Resell credits or the service
  • Upload content that violates copyrights

5. Your Designs

  • You own your designs - always. We only process them to give you feedback, then we delete them within 24 hours.
  • We may keep anonymous, non-identifiable statistics to improve our AI, but these cannot be traced back to you or your designs.
  • We do not sell your personal information or design data. Ever.

6. About Our AI Feedback

Our AI analyzes your designs and gives suggestions - not professional advice. Like all AI tools, it works best when combined with your own design expertise and judgment. The feedback is meant to help you make better decisions, not make them for you.

7. Payments & Billing

We use Stripe as our secure payment processor for all transactions.

Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you subscribe
  • Charges are automatic and recurring until you cancel
  • If a payment fails, we'll contact you and retry the charge
  • Continued payment failures may pause your account until resolved

Cancellation

  • You can cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You'll retain access to paid features until the period ends
  • Unused credits remain available until used or expired (3-month rollover limit)

Refund Policy

  • Monthly subscriptions: Contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of your first charge for a refund
  • Renewals: No refunds for renewal charges, but you can cancel anytime
  • Credits: Non-refundable once added to your account
  • Unused time: No prorated refunds if you cancel mid-month

8. Canceling Your Account

You can delete your account anytime through your dashboard. When you cancel:

  • Your access ends immediately
  • We'll anonymize your data per our Privacy Policy

We can also remove accounts that violate these terms.

9. The Legal Stuff

No Warranties

Design Sage is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it'll always work perfectly or that the feedback will be 100% accurate. We're constantly improving, but software isn't perfect.

Limited Liability

If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. We're not responsible for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss.

Your Responsibility

If you violate these terms and we get sued because of it, you'll need to cover those costs.

10. Changes to These Terms

We might update these terms sometimes. If we make big changes, we'll email you and post a notice. Keep using Design Sage after changes means you agree to the new terms.

11. Disputes

If we have a disagreement, let's try to work it out by contacting [email protected]. If we can't resolve it:

  • US users: Binding arbitration in California (no class actions)
  • EU users: You can bring disputes in your local courts
  • Other regions: California law applies

These terms are governed by California, USA law, except where your local laws provide greater protection.
